Granger and LBJ are both good crappie lakes. Check out www.grangergang.com.

I am unsure, but these guys are very informative, and I have seen a crappie report on occasion. Just ask in the Bass and Striper forums.

Austin Bass Fishing

On TPWD only Granger and LBJ have an overall of good or better on Crappie fishing. Buchanan shows fair and Granger the best at Excellent. Granger water temp is high 50's so a little searching would be in order. Hope that helps.

I would have to agree that it's either Granger or LBJ

To answer your question better, are you fishing from a boat or bank fishing?

If fishing from a boat, don't over look Belton and Stillhouse in addition to the lakes mentioned prior. I like Belton in the Spring (back of creeks) and Stillhouse in the fall (above the bridge). A lot depends upon the type of crappie fishing you like best, develop that skill, and then fish the lake that best matches your skill before trying to figure out the other lakes. Just a suggestion to get better results more quickly.
