I got skunked out at Lavon this weekend. While I was waiting to not get a bite, I started walking the shoreline collecting old line, hooks, lures, sinkers and trash. Filled a 20 gallon ice-chest with used line and several bags with trash. Probably picked up about 3-4 pounds of lead. Feel sorry for the poor S.O.B. who broke off four times in the same set of rocks.(Same leader, swivel, sinker and hook) I've been there before. While I didn't hook-up with any fish I was rewarded with this discovery. Walking Liberty Half Dollar which was minted between 1916-1947. Can't make out the date on this one.

Very cool find Need more like you to clean up what " outdoorsmen" leave behind
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Always try to take away at least one more piece of trash than what you bring. Keep our lakes and rivers clean so we can enjoy them. Great job!
