Ordered the Guidewear X300 insulated Parka and Bibs in November when they were on clearance. Got the bibs but the parka was back-ordered. Found out today that they are "out of stock for the season until next fall!" Anybody else have this problem? I love the bibs but want the parka to match. Now I'm thinking about sending the bibs back and finding another brand. Any suggestion? I like the bass pro rain gear but they are not insulated.

What kind of weather are you planning on encountering? Will there be snow or rain?
I have several jackets for different climates. For cold weather gear I buy my stuff at a pro ski shop as there stuff can handle hot days on the slope and -40 with the wind. Brands matter little as long as you get breathable and durable coats.
Fall/spring or southern us winter is a different story.

Cabelas improves their guidewear once every few years, thats why it went on sale this fall. Call them, talk to a customer service rep, they should take care of you. I've used the regular suit for years, and when I saw the sale I ordered an insulated set. I had to settle for green, when I ordered blue but its awesome. Well worth it. I bet they'll send you the new version at no extra cost.

I ordered the insulated set and I got mine within a few days. I had the non insulated set already and they are great rain gear. You won't be disappointed.

I just fish here in Texas and try to stay off lakes when the weather gets really cold, I have found that the regular guide wear with under armor base layer and regular clothes will keepe really warm, feet and hands are the only concern.

I had the exact same problem. What I ended up doing was getting the Guidewear Ice Fishing parka that was black/blue to go with the black bibs. Call customer service, they were great in resolving my problem.
The Ice Parka has more thinsulate in it, let me tell you, by the time I tried it all on I was ready to get out of it! I may not catch any fish, but one thing is for sure, I won't be cold and wet anymore!
