 pedestal base question

Is there a way to keep your pedestal from having so much play in it. Wobbles around too much for me don't know if its the pedestal or the base.

I have the 1.77 poles and the metal on the pole always wears before the plastic base. This is actually good becuase it is easier to replace the poles than the base. Pull the pole out of the base and look at it you should see the wear. If you want to get technical about it get a micrometer and take a measurement just above the base and then below.

If it has the small shaft, the bushings in the base can be replaced. I got mine at Tractor Supply. Best way to prevent wear/slop is to remove the pedestals while trailering, they slap around and wear the base out. b
