Who would you recommend in the FW area to get my steering cable replaced? Its a Yamaha Vmax.

Just replaced my dual cable system, it's an extremely easy thing to do if you have the time or else your gonna pay a marine shop about $250 at least to do it plus the cost of parts.

I'd have to suggest Discount Maintenace Marine in Pantego (Arlington). Mike got to the root of my motor problems, unlike the other mechanics who just put a bandaid on it and called it fixed. Dont know the number off the top of my head, on my phone during lunch. Google should find it quick.

I replaced the cables on my ranger, very easy to do and only took about an hour
|

+1 on DIY. I pulled one out of my boat, got the model # and ordered from Wholesale Marine online. Spent a total of $150.
