Seen one yesterday just off the north side of 515 west bridge. There are some around spring/elm creek and also over on the East side around running/coffee creek and the timberwood housing addition. I have seen some in Nov around the little caney area.

Saw some a few years back up Running creek past the bridge. Probably can't get up there with the lower lake levels.

They will almost always keep the same nest year end and year out so where they have been in the past they will still be. We have many down around Buchanan with a huge nest the past several years just off 29 in between Burnet and Llano. The county actually made a observation area for traffic and safety concerns because of the crowds that would stop to get a peek at young ones and take photos. Very, very beautiful and proud birds.

Halfway between Glade creek and the mouth of running creek in the timber on the left theres a few nested! You can follow the old roadbed that leads to the the burnt tree hole right to them!

About 2 years ago I was in the rear seat of my buddy's boat. An eagle came right over our boat, swooped down, snatched a fish out of the water, and flew off. I never thought I would see that "live". It was in the middle of summer, mid-morning, but I don't remember where we were.
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.
