Hunting season is almost over. Time to get the boat back out. I want to try some new water early. I live near Corsicna and I fish RC, Witney, and Belton some. I like to use live bait early in the season and downrig when it gets hot. I would appreciate any help on Cedar Creek, Tawakoni, Texoma ect. Thanks

Welcome to our Forum. Lot's of great folks here. What type of help are you asking for? If you read a few pages in this section, you will see that there is plenty of information for fishing this time of year. Basic advise is the fish can be at almost any depth, just slow down your presentations. I like to use both 8 pound test and 14 pound test line depending on the type of lure. Hybrids and stripers like the cold water and feed all winter. They are good and fat right now. Cedar Creek does not have stripers, the other two do. All three lakes are great fisheries. Texoma may be the best striper lake in the nation for numbers. Tawakoni has big fish of all kinds. And Cedar Creek, well, just ask Fast Guy!
