Maybe, just maybe the winter bass fishing on Whitney is going to start to turn on....

This is the Boss today with a 6-6.... some fun. Action was slow until we found a point with a bunch of them stuck around one rock.... we hooked up with 4, but only put three in the boat... only lasted 15 minutes or so, but was great fun.

Great day on the water today, wasn't too cold. The lake has actually come up 6 or 8 inches in the last couple of weeks... and we are due some more rain this next weekend.... might not fish Christmas Day, but will definitely try to be out there again next week.

No Dave, that is a custom poured ARMADILLA tail.... soaked in a mix of skunk, fish guts and epson salt for 3 days. (the epson salt is there to cure the pain just in case you stick yourself with the hook).. it is in a deep fired purple color.. just what them ol basses want in the winter.

I wish I could find a brown bass... I haven't seen one in years... I was even looking through my old photos trying to find one I caught years back.. didn't have any luck with that either. I guess I am lucky to catch a little green one every now and then.... The Boss seems to hog all the big ones... that stuff about fishing out of the back of the boat is just so much b.s..... I think the back of the boat must be an advantage.

There are a few more photos and quite a few more details at the website in Armadilla's signature. Even a photo of the self-proclaimed "hand crafted" lure. wink

Great story yesterday Armadilla. Hopefully the bass do turn on now that it is cold.
