Thinking about taking a road trip down to OH Ivie for the new years weekend. Never been to the lake looking to get the gf of some quality fish and get away for a relaxing weekend doing something we both love. I need suggestions on where to stay places to look for fish and places to avoid. Thanks in advance for any help.

Stay right there with Jerry at elm creek, him and the staff will take care of you.there is only 3 places to stay within 30 miles all about the same price.$50-60 a nite. they have great food at the store and grill.

In my humble opinion, Jerry's is the only place to stay. Not that the other two were bad by any means, but Jerry and his staff go the extra mile for their customers.

I stay with Jerry at Elm Creek 325-357-4776 nice clean rooms with good parking. If they are booked up then I stay at Sportsman's which is 1/2 mile away but still go to Elm Creek to eat.

I agree.....Jerry and his team will always get my business! They go out of their way to take care of you......even helped us get our boat going one morning! The food is great, the rooms are clean and his little store has everything you could/would need!

+1 on Jerry's. J.R. Howard is "the" guide. I've never been out with him but you can PM him and he will respond with honest information whether you use his service or not.
