I'm planning on a football jig/c-rig/swimbait/spoon rod for next year. Any thoughts? $150 is about my limit. I'm definately going with something at least 7', and I typically like rods that have some parabolic action. I fish out of a kayak, so I want something that is good for several techniques.

I'm a Falcon kind of guy, have been for a long time.. With that said, I actually own three Custom Angle rods that I use for cranking and I love them. Wasn't sure about the first one I got but, as said earlier, I now have three and momma is saying she wants one for square bills for herself.

If you call Scott Luff at Castaway and tell him what you want to be able to do, he can design a custom rod for you. I would think that anything over 7' would be hard to handle in a kayak

Check out the Dobyns Savvy Series! They are INCREDIBLE rods in your price range to. The 705C or the 734C are the rods you are looking for! Both can throw the baits you listed above. The 705C is an Xtra Heavy fast and the 734C is a heavy fast. The 734C would be my choice. 7' 3" and very versatile. It is a awesome rod! I love mine, you would love it! http://www.DobynsRods.com/?page_id=2
