I'm fairly interested in this but don't know alot about it, just a general idea. I was hoping some folks on here could shed some light on the subject and share some tips and techniques! Thanks.

http://www.catfishbait.net/catfish-bait-articles.htm"The reasoning for using this punch bait is simple -- Benny Roberts has designed SureShot so that the wad of bait on the treble hook looks and smells just like something coming from the back end of a roosting Cormorant!"

Poo plopping. Spinning gear with a split shot and a treble hook with stink bait. I know a couple guys that do the same thing with circle hooks and shad or bacon. No roosts on em or I'd practice more.

I want a floating lure that looks like s little bird. In the springtime, when the birds are in the nests under the bridges the cats are waiting for one of them to fall into the water.
I went dove hunting with a friend a while back, and he said that if I shot a dove and it landed in the tank to forget about it. After we finished hunting he clean a couple of dove and threw what was left into the tank. Catfish came up and swallowed it. I sure did want to fish there.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day doing anything else.

I used to to do that technique on Richland Chambers when we were going to have a big fish fry. Find a tree loaded with water turkeys and tie up and fish it. When the bite at that tree stops you go find another tree and then another. There are no shortages of trees on that lake. Easy way to fish with a very good success rate.

I use a BIG bobber with about 2 feet of leader underneath, baited with BAR S hotdog or raw bacon. The trick is to cast so that the bobber hits the water with a splat, imitating bird poop hitting the water. I call it Splat Fishing.
Boats are like Strippers. They work until you quit throwing $100 bills at them.

I fish under the Commerants all the time when they are on the lake. They are inn Ivie during the winter months and spring time. At our lake you have to get on the lake early so that other fisherment do not scare them off the trees. At Ivie they are primarily in the feeder creeks, but now that the lake is low they are hanging on the river channels. If they are already off the roost look for the white poop on the tree limbs. If you are looking at the bare trees in the water and do not find any white poop keep looking. They normally go back to the same area each day unless fishermen have been busting them off the roost early each day. They (majority of them ) normally head off the lake at Ivie and go feed. Not sure if it is in wheat fields or where but they head off for a while and come back. They also eat minnows, shad and etc. Cold cloudy days they tend to stay put on the trees as long as they can. FIND THE POOP ON THE TREE LIMBS AND YOU CAN TEAR THE CATFISH UP. When fishing under the roosts they can be at all depths. I normally start at the bottom and work my way up shallower.
