Great news, The blue/green algae warnings that have been in effect since August have been downgraded to a advisory. Pray for more rain. We need mother nature to flush the lake.

I talked with Nate Herring (USACOE) at Tulsa again today and found out that the temps aren't all we are waiting on and infact the rain is slowing down the BGA decline.

The much needed rain is washing many nutrients into the lake that help the BG Algae to survive / grow. He said 6 of the nine lakes that were in the original advisory are completely cleared all ready, but that the largest 3 including Eufala and Texoma are not seeing as rapid a temperature drop, so the nutrients are slowing down the die-off.

I would still like to see all the lakes full again. The temp will surely do it at some point.

Tight lines, Phill
