Went out to a pond today to see what I could get. Wanted to mainly experiment a little with some new plastics I got. Still managed 2 nice fish. According to the weather the high for tomorrow is supposed to be in the 70s so hopefully I can take advantage of that and do some fishing again tomorrow.

 Nice Gills. Looks like a Berkley Trout worm was used on the first fish?  Good job Peyton.

Thanks Chuck! It was a Berkley Earthworm, broke that out first then tried out some of the new plastics. Caught the crappie on a Bobby Garland Mo' Glo" Baby Shad in Electric Chicken color!

Nice pictures and report Gillinator!! Yeah the bite is waaaay slow right now, but it's still nice to get out and enjoy some time by the water. Seems like getting to catch a few is just a small benifit this time of year!  I was finally able to swing by one of the Windcrest ponds yesterday for a fix. I don't think I have ever NOT caught anything out there...yesterday..not even a nibble!!!

Thanks guys! Yup UF the bite definitely has dwindled alot. Can't wait till Spring time already!! One thing I love about this time of year though is that you see little to no snakes!!!

Thanks guys! Yup UF the bite definitely has dwindled alot. Can't wait till Spring time already!! One thing I love about this time of year though is that you see little to no snakes!!! If you fishing creeks don't mind exploring it until you find deep holes ! This is what i learned today . If you fishing small lakes/ponds take kayak find deeper holes brushpiles so next time when you bank fish you will know where to cast .

LOL I need to pay you to come down here to find me all the good fish and let me take pictures with them! Should be able to do one more trip out there during the winter months. My truck would have trouble making it out there during the Spring heat and not sure if I'd be able to borrow my mom's vehicle  Even driving through the hills to Boerne when I was out there was giving it trouble, sucks LOSING speed when you accelerate
