I picked this up off another site and was wondering if there was any weight to it?
"...I did have one concern about my Cajun, I read somewhere that the Travis Editions were having problems with the keels leaking and craking badly. Has anyone heard of this or had any type of the same problems?"

Any comments??

Glad to have taken..."the trash in the back!"

I have a 1989 Cajun "Travis Edition" that I have not a problem with. Does not leak a drop.

Well, I just bought a 94' 189 and it has one of those keel guards on it. I did not think much about it until I read that post on another site. Then I got a little concerned. I am just curious where it came from.

I ain't got a dog in this hunt, but I can't see where the lettering "Travis Edition" would have anything to do with how the boat was built. Typically that refered to the boat, motor, electronics, TM as a package. You walk into one of their stores now and you'll see Travis Edition on just about everything.

I agree, Travis Edition has nothing to do with the boat. I just posted the quote as it was written.

I have a 1995 21' Travis Edition C/C.

I have it totally gutted right now replacing the carpet with spray in liner.
And it is one solid boat, I pulled the console and cut out the rear deck.
I'm raising the console 9" and extending the deck 5", It's fiberglassed top and bottom.
I haven't found any rot at all, the wood that you can see through the resin still looks new.
I have had mine for almost a year now and have been extremely pleased with it, good ride, dry on rough days, and gets me to fish
I hated having to bend down to the steering wheel, and those lowered seats in the back were a waste of space, a few modifications and I'll drive it until the whe... prop falls off.
