Today I had Robert E Lee and granddaughter Taylor from Gause, Tx for an outing on Somerville. We were in hopes we could beat the high afternoon winds and left the ramp at 6:30 with lite winds. The fish met us at the first spot and the bite was steady. They ended the trip with 30 mph gusts at 11am by limiting out with 50 cats. All fish caught in 2-4 foot water, under corks, using CJ's Shad punch bait I think the fish took a holiday for Verterans day. Fished with buds Ronny Mahan and Howard Watson on Fayette County Friday. First five stops yeilded two fish. Last stop gave up 15 fish, largest going 6.9#. We had to hide from the widns after 10am. The afternoon winds have really been rough. Ended day with 17 cats, All fish caught under cork, in 8-10 foot water, using CJ's Shad punch bait.

Nice catch there Weldon. Somerville is sure low. The Yegua up on our place, it's bone dry. Never seen it dry in my life.
