On Thursday, November 10, the US Marine Corp celebrate 236 years of service to all of us and to defending our freedom. Freedom isn't free!!! I was going to wait to post this til 11/10 but wanted to be sure that as many of us as possible could extend our thanks to these brave Marines (and all other military personel) on the anniversary of the birthday of the Marines. Y'all are shining examples of bravery, dignity, honor, and everything that America should stand for. We give you our thanks. Your sacrifice is beyond what we can comprehend and while y'all simply say, "I just did what I was trained to do", we stand in awe of you and salute you. It is my families prayer that you are blessed. May God Bless You and the United States of America!!! Thank You.

Thank you for such a nice post. Take an extra minute to remember the ones who have fallen and their families; they gave the ultimate sacrifice. It hits home every time I hear on the news another Marine(or any service member) has been killed.

When I was in Iraq, out in the Anbar province that Marines had a FOB we visited to do some work. I'm telling you, they are a freedom defending, killing machine. You do not want to mess with a Marine Expeditionary Unit.
