Have you considered a float tube? You can get one for under $50 at BassProShops. I've been doing this for a few months now, and I can't tell you how much fun it is!
I didn't check your profile, but if your in D/FW and want to get together for some tubing, shoot me an email.
I saw a 12 foot V-Bottom aluminum boat with a 70-something year outboard..bout a 5HP I think. The guy is asking $1000 for it. It's in Hurst. He says it cranks by the 3rd pull every time and he's redone the lights on the trailer and the bearings. I just looked at it, but I think I'm gonna hold out for a new boat next year.

I wish you would have told me about wanting a two man boat earlier and I didn't even think about it. My nieghbor sold his two man bass buddy boat last week. $500.00,good condition, battery, trolling motor, fish finder. That guy down the road still has that mid 80's skeeter w/ the 200hp johnson, sitting in his back yard. He was wanting $2400.00 for it. It's not the best looking, but motor runs good and the structure is solid. Also, pick up the boat trader, they had a few smaller boats in it for average prices. What kind of price range are you wanting to stay in ?

i have been considering the float tube i used to have one several years ago only bad thing i noticed of them no leverage on the hook set unless they are redesigned now also i talk with eric everyday we have fished together a few times and at the cc tourny very nice guy. go n fish n now you tell me sure guys i work with go n fish n i know him well we kid each other a lot and at work also, well vance if i had 2400 to but it i remember you telling me about it i would probably buy it but with little cash hard to do right now.but honestly didnt even think of going to a smaller boat till yesterday when i gave up trying to find a bigger boat lol. i figure when you get yours ill just come over and pick yours up and go out and i may even let you know i coming over to get it when i fish pool when i come back ill let you know how i did lol. just kidding buddy. if i cant find one to finance owner wise or payout ill go with a smaller one, im thinking about erics procraft he starting to like his terry boat he bought. hes putting a 130 on the procraft so it will run pretty good i would think with it, not sure yet just leaving my options open riht now thanks all mark

I've been thinking of selling mine lately so you might be in luck. It's a 73 Kingfisher with a newly rebuilt 50 Evinrude that runs like a scalded dog... Has live well, trolling motor, and finder. I'd probably give it up for $1500 or trade for a 4-wheeler..
