I like the format and like the lake choice. I would have fished this instead of the BassCat owners tourny if I had known about it. I am on the TFF nearly everyday and only saw the first post about this tourney last Wednesday. I am definately in for next year if it is held again. How much better can it get than to get two days guided fishing trip for $150.00 and have a chance to split first place money. This should be a no brainer.

I had a great time and a great partner/ boater ( Ram Reyes ). He did a fine job of finding the fish and I learned a lot from him. I will admit that I fished this tournament to learn more about the lake from someone who knows it. I can not afford to go down there and fish for a week or so to prefish for a tournament. We did not win any money, but if we had I am not sure any split besides 50-50 would have been fair. We used his boat and his spots. I paid for some of the gas and when he wanted more baits, I bought them. I just thought that was what I should do. If I could have, I would have contributed more. I think I made a knew friend and would love to fish with him any time. Hopefully I can put him on fish if he ever comes to Choke. I am not great at finding them, but I can catch them when I am around the fish. I did not miss a single bite in two days of fishing.
As for next year, I would vote for #1 Amistad, #2 Choke Canyon or I would not mind going back to Falcon. Preferably if there are not any conflicts, I would like to see it held Feb-April or a little earlier in the fall would work.
Thanks Ram for a great time and thanks to C.A.S.T for putting on the tournament.

Gene
