I'm sure if you are a BASS member you received the advertisement from Progressive Insurance wanting you to go with them for your boat. Does anyone use Progressive for their boat out there? I'm currently using the same company as my home owners and auto.
However, I'm always looking for something better and more comprehensive for a good price.

I had Progressive unitil i realized i was paying too much. I was paying 600/yr for basic coverage, but i needed to upgrade my liability. Would have went to 900/yr. Looked at Farmers Insurance and got that 900/yr policy reduced to 438/yr. For Auto progressive might be the ticket, but for boats i would look around first.
Or at least that was my experience.

When I looked around they were double the price of the company I decided to go with... I went with http://www.boatus.com/ . I have had no problems with them ------------------

I called to compare prices after I got the ad from BASS. It was more than double what I pay now with Farmers for the same coverage. Need I say I won't be switching anytime soon. ------------------ SEMPER FI

My renewal is coming due and I faxed my BoatUS binder to my Farmers Agent who has my Car Insurance. She said that she could not touch the coverage I have at anywhere close to the same price. Ya'll might check it out. If you attend a Coast Guard Safe Boaters class they will knock off another 10% off the already discounted cost for no claims history. Ron

Farmers offers that same 10% for the Boater edu class. I have not taken it yet to receive the discount.
