Hey Folks,
I have never caught a Rio....we usually fish southeast and east Texas but also fish Inks Lake in the Hill Country a couple times a year. Are there any Rios in SE Texas or East Texas?
Also, are they any good for eating? I've really enjoyed the pics of them.
Thanks.
Pray for a return to our Constitution.

You can find Rios in both in Southeast Texas and East Texas. They are an extreme warm water fish and can not live in areas where the temperature stays freezing over a long period of time.

Hey Michael I think I remember reading somewhere of Rios being caught closer to your area. I'll have to see what info I can dig up later, gotta head out the door for class shortly. I've heard they're just as good eating as bluegill and other sunfish.
