John McAlister of McAlister guide service. I am sending updates of my fishing at Ivie after talking with Charles Becker last month. I went out to the lake this am and caught 22 channel catfish from 2-3 pounds in less than 3 hours. I lost count so I left the lake. Folks they are still in shallow water in less than 10 feet in the brush. They are eating the black moss that grows on the mesquite. The water temperature is still 69 degrees. They won't be as many shallow soon when the water cools off. I was using cheese bait. The lake is still low so watch you graph or flasher. NO traffic such as bass fishermen bothering us catfishermen. Good Luck. P.S. I am not much of a photographer for photos.

I have been putting in at Kennedy Park and have had no problems. At concho only one ramp is open and it it steep but usable. I have not been to Padgett boat ramp. But it is a flat ramp and if you have any size boat you would have to get your vehicle in the water.

Thanks, been thinking of meeting my dad out there and fishing that lake. Wanted to make sure we could get on.
