I got a 22 ft Center Console, think it would be a problem to launch at Dons Port? How big is your boat Doyle? My boat is a 21 foot center console on a tandem axle trailer. The cement ramp is completely out of the water. Several years ago when the lake was down, the ramp was extended by dumping rock and sack concrete mix and then in August of this year another 20 bags used to improve the ramp. When you back your trailer off the cement ramp it is a little rough. Keep your trailer in the middle of the ramp as you back in and keep your vehicles rear axle on the cement ramp. I have probed the ramp and I still have about 4 feet of rock behind by boat when it comes off the trailer. I had to use a 2 inch high ball hitch to keep the trailers front beam from dragging. There is no blowout sandbar at the end of the ramp and water from the ramp to the lake is 5 to 7 feet deep. The channel is narrow but no problem. I have a 4 wheel drive vehicle so when I do drop off the cement part of ramp; I still have no problems in pulling out.
