looking for crappie this wednesday. thinking of putting in on public ramp off of 17 near 515. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Timber @ 20 ft or so, and bridge column's I always focus on about #2 or #3 column from either end.

I hate to say this but have better luck with minnows than jigs. Take both, and have fun is the most important suggestion of all other than be careful.

Had a good time on fork this last weekend. Spent 4 days on the water with a few fish caught. It was slow. 515 e seemed to have a lot of short fish. We had our best day on Saturday at 154 bridge with 34 keepers. Also had a 10 lb 1 oz lmb off of 154 on Thursday. The fish were much more active early. Cinnomin and blue jigs were the best color. At about 15 ft deep. Good luck.

Where did you launch? I am going the weekend after next. I was planning to go last weekend but the wind kept me away. I was going to try 515 east or maybe 154.
