Just got my 182 in the mail today. Could anyone out there please help me with as many details as possible concerning wiring it up. It is the one with the internal antenna. I have a center console boat and plan on mounting it in the center of the console. I have a fuse panel on the underneath side of the console for my FF. Any and all details would be greatly appreciated.

hi clifford,

i have a garmin 188 and just took it to a reputable boat mechanic and let him do it for me. turns out even he had trouble working the cable for the transducer through the hull of my boat, since the boat didn't have built in conduits for such things. the boat is a 21' sea hunt triton ... center console. he installed the mount on the top of the console, wired it in, and mounted the transducer and wired that too. i've had no problems with it whatsoever.
