I have two titled pond prowlers, and just latched onto a 4hp yamaha 2 stroke motor Friday. The Yamaha starts on 2nd pull. The prowlers are 8 ft, and hopefully will work with my setup.

I have never ever been on a pond prowler, and from the sticker, I should easily be under the max weight limitation. I have a cuda 300 and an eagle 240 fishfinder to install on it too.
Need to find a cheap trolling motor now, and I think I will be good to go.

Needless to say I will be selling one 8 foot Pond Prowler (with title), to offset the cost of the motor, hope to have it sold soon.

As long as I can safely float on it with the gear I have I will be a happy boater!!!!

I have a couple larger boats (21 foot Pontoon and 16 ft tracker v boat), but see this as a fun toy smile

Any pictures of how y'alls prowler/busters are set up would be greatly be appreciated. Additionally I have asked for a forum for these kinds of boats be added, I think if more ask the moderators, we might have a forum topic too.

What do you need the gas motor for?

Here's my last one. I think busterboats.com has taken down their site, but they used to sell an awesome rear rudder on the site for less than $50. It would allow you to run the trolling motor on front and track straight. Otherwise the rear of the boat can swing around and you may be tracking a 45 degree angle while moving straight ahead. I had an Eagle graph/gps on it and a 50 lb trolling motor. Also upgraded the seats. The standard bracket on will fit most any boat seat so upgrading is easy from the hard plastic seats they typically come with. I mounted the graph to a 2x6 which fit perfectly into the front side rail. It was easier than drilling into the boat.

Put the trolling motor on the back and it's fine.

That's what I do anyway.

Has anyone mounted a foot control and bracket on a pone prowler?
Want to use the folding bracket if possible.
I will equip mine this weekend, unless we get lots of rain.

I have never seen a foot controlled TM on a buster. Not sure how that would work. If you make it happen would love to see how.

I seen a pic of one a few months back where the guy put some plywood on the top rail then mounted the TM to that. He used his hand to adjust the TMs direction, not his foot.

Put you transducer on the trolling motor, just buy the bracket.

Mount your depth finder to a 2x6 so you can move it around the boat.

JMO.
