I'm looking at buying a heavier net for this winter, and was wondering what size mesh I should get?

Last year I used a 7'net w/ 3/8 mesh and it did just fine just have you an extra length of rope for winter shad.

+1 on the bait buster. 1.5 lb per foot. I have both sizes, but I like the 5/8 better. I like large shad for bait, and it lets the smaller ones through with out getting stuck. You will still have to pick some shad out of your net but, at least they are bigger.
