Too dangerous to the fish to jug right now. Wait until it cools off some. It is impossible to leave your jugs unattended and not kill fish. So my thinking on that for myself, is if I have to babysit them, what is the point. Might as well just bring the R&Rs. Which are catching them just fine. And almost as much fun as chasing jugs around the lake.

Now thats wbat I REALLY hate is when people set'em out and just forget about them. I never leave mine out for more than a week and I check them everyday. I REALLY hate when I riding around and see the jugs that have moss and scum growing onthem, looks like they been sitting there for years

These that I saw yesterday were coke bottle jugs. Had one hook and no weight. They were dated on Friday. I did not throw them away, just took the gar that were rolled up in the line off.

We will be setting out some jugs and maybe a trotline in a week or so. Historicaly this is the time of year I do my best, because this is usualy the time of year I actualy get to fish, I have a good patern worked out for the fish on the lakes I fish, put me out there in the winter or early spring and I struggle because Im not used to fishing that time of year and dont really know what the fish are up to.
I check my lines once in the morning and once in the afternoon and never have fish die, but I also fish no more than 15' of water and usualy between 10 and 15.
