That happened to me a couple days ago in the exact same spot...however I walked mine out about 50 yards from the stump, trimmed the motor as high as it would go and still dragged bottom a ways.

Ok I read all 3 of these threads on this and:

#1 you and yours should be thankful to Rockie and Trey.I know someone who knows that area as well or better than most that had to leave his boat there until the lake came up.

#2 did they really think they could cruise in and out with the lake at the level it is?

#3 Every day I find someone on the internet that makes me realize I am not "that stoopid". lol

I used to have a mud boat. Just like 4wd in a truck ... good for getting stuck in worse places.

I your going to run shallow water in a mud buddy/gator trax rig you need toeither have it set up correctly i.e. Weight even, right prop. Then you need to be running WOT before you hi the shallows, your best bet was to turn around and regain your momentum.

I think they were pulling a boat out with mud buddy /gator trax boat.you can see it in the background.

They are good until you do get stuck. Then it is usually to where NOBODY can get to you to get you out. rolfmao

Why don't you get in the river where its deep enough and go to the river in the river instead of trying to cross that flat. I know the river is silted in right there but I think its deeper than the flat beside it. Ive seen times when the lake was so low that I entered the river across from the shores and followed the channel all the way to the split. If you can make it to the powerlines, go in the river there. It only about 75 yrds of idleing before you get to the spot where you can run it.

kinda hard to trailer a fiberglass boat through the woods.

the mud boat was just up there to retrieve the stuck fiberglass boat.

Im not talking about trailering through the woods. Im saying get in the river where there is enough water and going in that way...in a boat...... thats off the trailer. Im saying there might be a different way for other folks to get up there, other than crossing that shallow flat.
