Saturday my group kept 17 hybrids plus some sand bass Today they kept 10 hybrids and a few crappie and sandies Yesterday the hybrids were just in a frisky mood as the front moved through the area. We had over cast skies and lower temps. The fished surfaced for a while making it easy to find and catch a bunch. Today it wasnt nearly as easy. Most fish were found mid lake in 14-16ft of water on the bottom. All the sandies and hybrids were caught on humdingers. Call us to book a trip, we have several openings this coming week.

way to go chuck- the old reliable humdinger...
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Thanks for the call, we wasted a lot of time on Snaggin' Steve's guaranteed hot spot. We had a pretty good time looking at various spots.
It ain't easy making it look easy.

Just a short update, the hybrids were good again this morning. We had them to ourselves for a while until we were discovered by another boat. We were on the big fish for probably over an hour. They would pop up on the surface and stay for about 5 minutes and then dissapear for about 10 minutes. Each time they would pop up my group would catch 3 or 4 before they went down again. We would just chase them around with the trolling motor when they popped up. After we had caught some really nice hybrids the sandies really moved in about 8:15-8:30. We continued to cast but eventually tied on the hell-pet for faster action. We ran them for about 45 minutes or so before retreating to the crappie for some finess fishing. The crappie were biting but line watching was crucial if they were to be caught. They are hitting super soft and it takes a trained eye to catch them.
The lake has been empty lately, I guess the low water has people dry docked. We are running 1-2 boats on most days so we have openings in our schedule. Give us a call or email us to book a trip of a life time!
