I'm confused... Did Native Watercraft buy Heritage? Or maybe they just bought an older mold for the Redfish? It's definitely the same yak, maybe a different seat perhaps?

Here's a guy from Native talking about it, he seems to be comparing it to the ultimate? They show the boat at around the 2:00 mark...

Same group owns both - trying to keep the Native Brand a notch above the Heritage brand --- Although to this point, sort of different offerings. WaterTrail, Liquidlogic, Heritage, and Native Watercraft.

I wonder if that new seat is as comfy as the old one. I love the seat in my 2010 redfish 12.

Like LearnedHat said, Legacy Paddlesports is the parent company to those brands.

They did the same thing a few years (4???) ago when they moved the Manta Ray line from Liquid Logic to Native Watercraft. I'm sure the price of the Redfish will remain the same or possibly go down and be offered as a value orientated line below the Manta Ray.

I suspect that they will drop the Heritage name now and just produce Native Watercraft to target recreation/fishing and Liquid Logic to target whitewater/recreational touring. They may move the FeatherLite model to Liquid Logic too.

Well there you have it... Shoulda figured that... The guy in the video quotes a price of 599. If that's for the 12, then it's a very competitive price...
