i was fishing at cresent bend and found some bedded fish but i was on my way out and the were a distance away from the bank. i was thinking of bringing my flyrod out of retirement and trying for them but i would have to wade in after them. i didn't see any postings about not getting into the water but maybe someone else has.

Go for it. I've waded around there plenty of times. My only advice is to wear some sort of foot protection because I went out there once bare foot and my feet got some nasty cuts.

"USMC_GY_09" wades it just about every time he fishes the Cibolo. Even his daughters and son wade fish it. You ought to see their results!

I usually wade at crescent bend as well...seems like certain areas, where the fish are,is slightly out my casting range...just use "common since" wading techniques! good luck!

Here is an old post with some pics of my daughter and I in the Mighty Cibolo . Good times, I may go out there tonight.
