Seems like every summer ask the guys that I fish with where they want to go....Lake Cooper once again. Fished this past Thursday eve, Friday and Saturday. I just wish the place was a closer drive. Was worried about the lake levels but all seemed to work out well. We caught a bunch of hybrids, best bite on them was about 530 till around 730...at least it was for us. Morning bite slower then in the past, full moon maybe, but normally around 930 we would get them going pretty good on the sandies with some hybrids picking at them. Fished a few different locations, just look for big shad flying, throw and hold on,repeat. Baits used TNT 180's 2 and 2.5oz. Sassy 4,5,6inches. 4 and 5inches nanna color, and glow worked well. Pretty hot out there when it was dead calm, water temps were like 91-93,didnt know it would read that high. Hybrids ranged from 19 3/4in to largest at 25 1/2, with lots of 22 to 22 1/2. Fun times and still one of my favorite lakes. Here are a few pics, dont even know if we got the big fish, as when it was landed the boat looked like a war zone grin Good fishing guys....wow after all those pics just realized I didnt even get one with me confused wth

Good going B!
You may have caught some good ones if you weren't on that dang pontoon laugh Now that I got the 2011 TSA behind me, hopefully we can hook up for a fish day before you get into your busy season.

Holzer,lol...ya know I might be hell on these fish if I ever get rid of the toon. There are a couple of us in toons that I hoped arent cussed to badly. George you got that right, I was all over the sunblock, the other fella enjoyed being medium rare. Anytime your on the water is good time, any time hybrids are biting great times...

Bryon, looks like you did well in Texas, also saw some pictures
of your lake on the tv, Looks bad, and our little lake is
getting there even with no irrigation.
