 Great evening on Hubbard

Took my father in law out this evening for his birthday and we had a blast! Found some hybrids chasing shad in 12 ft of water. Then the sandies started boiling the surface and we caught fish on almost every cast for a good hour. Had 6 Hybrids between 21 and 24". Sorry but we completely lost count of the sandies but if I had to guess I would say it was close to 100. What a birthday present!

Glad ya got on em! We also found em schooling and whacked em for about 45 minutes till dark. Also had a 18 lb. And a 20 lb. Buffalo thrown in to mix things up!!
It was sssuupppeerr hot!!!!!

I saw shad jumping almost a foot out of the water at the end of the point and eased over and the hybrids were going crazy. Next thing I know the sandies started boiling all around us so I just drifted out of the center of them and caught one after the other. Been a while since we hit them like that in evening.

That is summer time fishing at its finest. And yes, it was hotter than heck out there yesterday evening.
