high island specks

made it to high island yesterday, water was in pretty good shape early, specks were biting fair to good on shrimp under cork. my buddy and i left with 12 in about 2-1/2 hrs, had 5 that were 23-26"....water muddied up about 11 am and they shut it off.

yeah had a great time, i almost always fish with cork there and at pocket, usually bring fish home if i catch good water.....uh-oh!! am i doing something wrong

Hey rodbender, when you rig up for trout, do you put any crimp weights on the line near the hook? Are you using a popping cork? What size and kind of hooks are you using also. I sure would like to land some specks like that. Do you mess around with the depth of leader off the cork.Any info would be helpful. Thanks, Pearlandpup
