was there last night caught some drum and crappie on minnows in the far right well by the entrance

Its been a bit slow for the barge this past month. I have been there several times at all different times in the day too.

night fishing has been good i toke my spin reel and through a shakey head with a trick worm at the rocks and caught about 30 bass the 5 hours i was there

Nice, I should have gone there tonight. Went to Old Lewisville Dam and got skunked. My first time there so it may take a bit to learn the area.

I been getting nothing but dinks just about every time I've gone in the past two months. I've never made it up there in the early morning hours yet, but Ive been told the hot times for crappie up there are between 6 and 10am give or take right now. I fish predominately for catfish but I do love the odd crappie trip IF I can catch a mess of them. Nothing better than crappie in the skillet...mmmm...
...damnit now I wanna go crappie fishin..

You can easily catch 30-50 perch in a couple hours if you want to use them for catfish bait. Might be worth the $7.00.
