Are there any groups that fish near Denton? Does anyone want to meet up and go? There is access to Grapevine Lake near Trophy Club. I have heard of people going to Greenmile. I new to kayak fishing would like to find people to fish with -Thx Matt

If you want to fish Ray Rob there is a free ramp. Or at least it was free last I checked.

Take 35 north and exit FM 922. Go right and when you cross over the lake the ramp is on your right. North of that bridge there is some timber that you can fish.

If you want to meet up on Ray Roberts some time just give me a pm. I live in mountain springs, just north of the lake. On the weekends I'm usually out there at least one day.

A buddy of mine from Denton is heading up to Lake Arrowhead this weekend to come fish with me if you want to get out and about. It is about a 1 1/2 hrs drive from denton but the lake is fun, huge, interesting structures and the Sandies have been running like mad the last few weekends when I was fishing them.

Hey Matt I live in Denton and fish every chance I get. I'm the guy FishingRythe is talking about. We are going tomorrow morning to chase sandies. I fish Lewisville, and a little Grapevine and Ray Roberts. I love small lakes or ponds for bass and I have a few of those in Denton. The Grasslands are very nice to fish as District Paddle mentioned. Keep on this site and you'll meet up with a lot of us. We all love fishing and fishing with partners is safe and keeps us honest.

My buddy ask me to come down to the coast today and fish off his boat this weekend. Unfortunately, I will not be able to use my yak. I will be available for sure next weekend. I work Monday - Friday Noon till 8:00 p.m. . I am thinking I will go somewhere close on Friday before work early in the morning, it will be my first time out on it. I am hoping to fish both Saturday and Sunday next week. I'll post a few pictures this week of how I rig the yak . Thank you all for the information. Glad you made it over here. This forum has a lot of dfw guys on it and just about every weekend someone is going fishing and usually welcomes anyone to come along. everyone I have met has been pretty cool

I know it's just Tuesday, but does anyone know where they would like to fish this Saturday? I would like to go in the morning, before the heat. Any idea -Matt

I may go somewhere this Saturday, I'm not sure if I'm off work or not yet but if I am then I may be making a trip to the grasslands
