I have a couple questions for the ranger owners out there. I am aboiut to pull the trigger and purchase a 2006 519 vx for only $14,000. I had a reliable mechanic check the whole thing out and everything is in tip top shape. It is a repo and for some reason is on a nitro trailer not a ranger trailer. Also it was wrapped and I was told all the Ranger decals are gone. Can those be replaced? The last thing is that it looks like the pin stripping has been removed. Is that common when a boat is wrapped and can it be replaced. I thought they were part of the gel coat. They may be there but I have only seen pics since the boat is in Oklahoma. I will be going to test drive it on Friday. Just wondering what yall think.

Don't think it is a Ranger. The three stripes are in the gel coat so they can not be removed. Need to check it well. If it is a Ranger the first three letters of the vin number will be RNG. If you could link a pic I could tell you if it is a Ranger. Be very careful sounds too good to be true! You can get replacement decals but they get pretty expensive.

Yeah that doesn't sound legit to me. Nitro price on a Nitro trailer with no Ranger decals...I'd be very, very skeptical. Not saying it isn't a Ranger, but I'd be darn sure I knew what I was buying before I put that kind of money down.

Thanks guys. It is just hard to see them in the pics and I don't know what happened to the trailer. My father in law works for a repo company and found the boat in OKC. I trust him and he trusts the guy that is selling it. But I will do more research before jumping on it.

Original trailer may have been stolen or wrecked but I would bet you are looking at a Nitro.

Just checked. It is a ranger 519vx 2006 model. 85 hours on a 200hp yamaha motor. The pinstripping is there just hard to see in the picture I had. It is on a nitro trailer because original trailer was stolen while it was at a lake. Sounds good, but I am going to test drive it tommorrow to make sure that pics are not decieving. Thanks for everyones input, I will let you know how it goes.
