Does this soap really work for bait? Someone told me that it works. Can you use it in lakes? Just wondering before I buy some.

I have heard several people say it works. And as far as I know you can use it any where.

Guys use it in jugs and trotlines but I have never seen a fish caught off of it. But it does clean your hands good after you get thru fishin!

Yea, what Tom said . Mostly used for trotlines. I don't know anybody who uses it for rod and reel fishing.

It stays on the hook forever and SLOWLY dissolves. I've caught a few on an overnight soaked rod and reel setup at Lake Mathis. It works because of all the fat put in it.

Zote works great on trotlines. There are several "homemade" soaps out there that will work better. They have added natural scents in them.

Ive tried different types of soap in rivers and lakes without much luck at all. Go with shad!
