Both. Florida has the largest gator population in the United States. It also seems to do the least to manage them where they might be in conflict with people. That combination in my opinion is why they have more fatal attacks by alligators than the rest of the United States combined. On the other hand I have read that Louisianna which has a large and actively managed/hunted population has not had a fatal attack in modern history. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fatal_alligator_attacks_in_the_United_States_by_decadeThe attack or that nothing was done about it?

Ive been to Wekiva Springs many times. Its a nice area with really clear water. I guess he was down stream of the spring because the water there is cold (72degree) and gators dont hang out in the spring.

I thought no way ... way! That guy had an adrenaline rush to pry that mouth open. Euthanized the gator? Put him on an IV and played gentle music while a slow drip of poison entered his blood system.
