Not saying we should kill it.
I think we should let it be. The alligator was here before us.
We are now starting to see them return to the areas that they used to be in before they were almost killed off. If a rancher has some losses it should just be considered the cost of doing business. I have cattle and horses, not for profit, and I would hate to see one killed. But I would respect the gator. If your cow gets killed by bad weather do we try to stop the storms. Nature is nature and it deserves some respect for when its gone so are we.

Wow. Guess I didn't realize I was saying that you were against hunting gators.

But you're obviously against fly fishing. And civil responses.

BTW, guidelines/rules #7, #8, and #9.

Anyway sir, I hope you have a great day.

Just emailed to Levi G. McCathern II at lmccathern@mccathernlaw.com

Glad you get a Hard On from killing something that was no risk to you. Your poor wife. Now one less thing in nature for us to worry about. Why did you not watch a show where people jumped off buildings with no parachute and try to emulate that. Thanks Dumb [censored].

Chuck Norris could stop it. Or maybe Charlie Sheen.

Wow, some of you get all bent out of shape. Few people on here wouldn't be glad to kill a gator that big and show it off. The majority I'd venture to say for sure. Doesn't mean they're goin out tomorrow to do it. If you think this is the only gator, you'd be wrong. And if I have property-house, car, dogs, cattle, maybe the wife too, etc...I will protect them, with a gun, with death perferably. You MUST kill predators, if you only wound them, they might take you to court and sue you.

Here's some food for thought.

1. What if the gator had eaten a human? Would it be ok to kill the gator for that?

2. Why did he kill the gator instead of capturing it to relocate?

3. If the gator was gobbling up cattle, why didn't TPWD try to capture it themselves?

IMO a gator that big can't be left out loose to endanger the lives of humans. It shouldn't be killed either. The hunter would of had more praise or accolades for hunting and capturing the beast. He just wanted a personal trophy and an ego boost.
