Nice report! What do you mean by "on the float"? Floating underneath a cork or cast weightless and floated with the current? Thanks, bug-e

Under a cork! I have also had good results free floating the bait as well. That would depend on the type of water body and conditions. Usually this time of year fishing off of the bottom and on the float are the two basic methods that yield very good results.

Nice Report and thanks for the updates on the creek conditions. I take it that you were over by Kelly on the Leon and as for the Salado were you off of Rittiman?

The Leon Creek was over by Kelly and the Salado was just off of Rittiman. Both creek conditions have improved a lot after this rain. We can still use some more!

Great update BAF!! Those creeks can get really turned on after a good rain. I may try to hit Cibolo on my way home today.
Looking at those pics though...we need to hook up some time. Those little boats I build are perfect for the creeks and ponds around here. We can throw them in the back of my truck and do some creek hopping/paddling to get to those areas that are unaccessable by land.

A little over an inch in San Antonio and about an inch and a half on the Northeast Side of San Antonio. Could not have come at a better time. We still need more.

Its kinda like a pirogue/kayak boat. I did not design them. I just built them for the fishing we have around the SA area. But they should work pretty much anywhere. Since they are home built they may not seem like a boat most of us are use to. But they are as versatile as any boat I have ever used. 8 in length, 32 wide and as stable as a much larger boat. The white one holds over 300 lbs. and the red one holds about 250 lbs. (though I put 320 lbs. in the red one) neither one will sink with the cockpit flooded. Each one drafts about 4 and weighs less than 50 lbs. Easy to build and cost less than a $100.00 to complete. Pre paintlight but strong! They can move in tight places. And just a blast to use and play with! And easy to transport with a weekend load of fishing stuff!!!
