I went out after work last night and start off with a bang. I started working over a wind blown point and hooked up on the second cast with a spinnerbait and the bass jumped and threw the bait. It was a good slot bass. I drifted down and paddled back to start the drift again and this time I was throwing a shaky head and caught 4 unders. On the thrid or forth pass I hooked up with what I thought was a moster bass and my reel was smoking with every run the fish made. Heck it even started to pull me into the wind. Well it wasn't a bass but a big drum on a shaky head. All the bass didn't want to wait for me to pull out my phone for a picture but the drum didn't seem to mind. Here is a pic

Very nice.
A big drum can put up a heck of a battle!

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Nice! Picked up 2 Samurai rod/reel combos from Dick's today and thinking about hitting Murrell Park at GV tomorrow evening to test them out on some sandies...

Sweet good to know they're still around there. If you go further left towards the cove. At the mouth of the cove is where I did pretty decent between 15-25ft.
