Had the boat out week before last steering was perfect, went out today and when I got up and running it had a popping as I turned, and had to rotate the wheel several times to make short turns. It is a ranger with power steering.

2nd question, motor does not seem to be very responsive, does not seem to just jump and run, tends to die. for example when i am loading the boat on the trailer I cannot gun it and run it up on the trailer.

1 - I don't know what the popping is but you have a leak in the system somewhere and now you have air in the lines. You need to locate the leak and repair and bleed the system and see if the popping goes aways.

2 - Have you been having the problem with lack of response for a while or did it just start when the weather turned hot? What motor are you running?

Thanks Tommy for the reply, I will see if I can find it, it was not happening 2 weeks ago steering. I just recently purchased the boat and it was not doing this 2 weeks ago either? I really have not changed anything, motor fires right up and runs great 175 Evinrude, once it does take off and go it runs great, it just seems to flood out I guess you could say.
