Falcon Cara - especially if you can get one during the Rod Riot at Academy.

Carrot stick is too ugly to match that green reel. Same for the Skeet. That rig has to look good or the fish won't bite on it.

Castaway 7mag, best all purpose rod out there. If you can get it in the "Go 2 series" will save you some money built on same blank as the high end Skeleton series, just different components. Here is an email I got from Castaway 2 days ago these are great deals I think Academy is moving them out for about $30 each
"Dear Pro Staff Members, You have the opportunity to save big on the Go2 rods that Academy carries. They are planning to handle the American made Skeleton next year, so they are having huge sales on the Go2's. If the rod does not have a "made in China" sticker on the butt cap, it was made at our factory here in Montgomery. Some stores are selling them way below "our" cost, which is less than what you pay using your discount with us! Deals don't get any better than that, so get to your local Academy and start saving! Not all Academys carry the Go2 rods, so I would recommend calling first to see if they have any left. Thank you, Ashley McDougal CastAway Fishing Products 118 Cape Conroe Dr. Montgomery, TX 77356 ashley@castawayrods.com Office: 936-582-1677 Fax: 936-582-1679"

Falcon, period. I've fished all of the above and none of them compare to Falcon Originals or Lowriders.
You know the old saying
If it floats, flys, or f___s it is always cheaper to rent!
You have to decide which is more important.

Courage - knowing something will hurt and still doing it. Stupidity - knowing something will hurt and still doing it. That’s why life is difficult
