alright last year they where every where... we used to pull them out by the mother load with a casting net!!! this year iv spent probably 2 days of trying to catch bait and haven't got [censored]...

Wait for the bubbles.....when they oxygenate the lake the shad will be there.

Go to the Dove loop boat ramp. Don't even start the motor. First cove on the right as you are facing the lake. Launch the boat, put down the trolling motor and slip into that cove with the 1/2 sunk boat that is on the beach.....there are tons of shad in there further into the cove. Hug the right hand bank...it curves around into an even smaller cove with another 1/2 sunk beached boat. There is where your shad are in the morning.

I also saw a gazillion shad by the bank over by Silver Lake Marina. They were on the dam side as you come out of the Marina. They were so thick we were snagging them with our crank baits every cast.

Go to the bubbles. You could use a swimming pool net and get all the shad you need.
