WE ARE PLANNING A TRIP DOWN TO THE GALVESTON AREA IN MID-MARCH. WILL BE LAUNCHING AT THE RAMP ON THE RIVER NEAR HWYS 36/227 AND FISHING THE RIVERS AND THE SURF (WITHIN VIEW OF LAND). ANY IDEAS ON FISHING THAT TIME OF YEAR OR GOOD SPOTS TO TRY? ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.

If you want to feel the pull of a heavy
fish, there is a run of black drum about
that time of year. I have read about it
for several years, maybe this is the year
I will go down and try it. lots of fish
from 20 to 50 lbs. The area around the
state park is supposed to be good.
Let us know how you do.
