I have heard some good stories about chicken mahi and would like to know when and where they run. Don't know if I have the correct spelling. I do know they resemble mahi but are smaller.

Chicken Mahi are Mahi Mahi but the smaller ones. The usually run in large schools as opposed to the large Bull Mahis.

I have caught many in the summer (June - Sept). Try fishing 10 - 15 miles offshore around floating structure like bouys, weedlines, floating debris, shrimp boats. Try to keep one hooked in the water at all times. If one is hooked in the water, it will keep the others in the area and you will be able to hook a bunch.
