Bought a spool of the new "High Abrasion Resistance" red line on last trip to Port A...has anyone used it; and, how do you like it? Claim is to be almost invisible....can't decide what rig to use it on....I got the 20#line, but they have others. Thanks for the help.

Last trip (Tuna II) the deckies told TOO to add some mono to his topshot because the tuna would see the red line. They said something about the red filters out at deep depths-. TOO could probably inform you better of what they said.

I tried it. Too much stretch and too much memory for me. Didn't use it long enough to see about the abrasion resistance. Red is the first color filtered out, it turns black at depth. Fluorocarbon is what becomes nearly invisible. I pretty much stick with Big Game, P-Line CX Premium, and Ande Backcountry lines on baitcasters and PowerPro with a P-Line Fluoro leader on spinning rigs.

What SkeeterRonnie said is what the deckies told me. As this was tommyt's "back-up rig" I had borrowed, this was the first Cajun Line use I'd seen. Didn't use the rig much not any use when all I was catching was small sharks and kings. So I can't say anything about it other than it made that "back-up rig" look even sharper. Realized when TT pulled that rig out of his SUV, I had a long way to go to be a real tuna dude. This is a awesome rig, and it's a back up! Sorry I can't be more help.

I think the red line/ red hooks Ect are designed to catch the fisherman not the fish. I have pretty much gone to Berkly big game for every thing except crappie. I did put some power pro on one rig and so far it is working well. still use a mono leader on that one. good luck MO BOB-- think about the Venice trip, would like to have you on board.
