For the price, I haven't found better rods. I have a 7' H Veritas and a 7' MH Vendetta. Both are what I would classify as all purpose rods. I like the Vertias more, more backbone and casts a litttle bit better. I have identical reels on both.

I have Veritas rods and really like the feel of them. I really dont have a down side for them except they are not free.

I have both models and the Veritas is worth the extra money. If I could do it, I would trade all of my other rods and fish with just Veritas rods --- except one that is and it is a Peacock Bass rod made for me in Florida. The handle on the Veritas is more to my liking and I "think" the guides are different (but not sure about that), I have not weighed them but just to me the Veritas "feels" lighter...I really can't tell any difference in sensitivity between the two rods though - but I am probably not good enough to feel any difference.

I think they both have 3 year warranty and I broke one and they did me right. No problems. Good rod and good company IMHO.

Fishing Arkansas and Florida. Retired, driving Rangers, catching bass, releasing them live and loving it.

I have both in medium 7'. Great multi-purpose rods. I know there's sometimes a need for heavier rods, but for the price, these are great for a first rod or if you had to take just one.

They actually fish a little heavier than their rating, the medium compares more to medium heavy in other brands. The components are great at that price point, and I've put a beating on mine and haven't had any issues.

The Veritas is actually lighter and a bit more sensitive (I believe it has a faster tip) than the vendetta, but the vendetta looks sexy as hell with a revo sx reel on it. I have Revo's on both. The Veritas also has a smaller/shorter grip. Both are balanced pretty well. No complaints here...can't go wrong with either.

Although both are excellent rods, it surprises me how much different the two feel from each other considering they both use the same 30-ton graphite. I own a 7'MH Veritas and it's all I will ever need. If you don't mind spending a bit more, I'd check up the big dog from Abu's V-Series, the Verdict. The adjustable handle seems a bit gimmicky, but it is much lighter and far more sensitive than the Veritas. But, if you had to limit it to just the Vendetta or Veritas, then Veritas all the way!

One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!

I bought a Vendetta to match my new Smoke reel. It has taken a little getting used to because it is soooooo light, but I really like the feel of the rod. I am definately considering buying another one. And, it looks awesome!
