Are you traveling there on a cruise? If so I would ask the cruiseline people for info.

Ask a more detailed question and you might get a more detailed answer. There are a lot of different types of fishing in Belize and multiple locations. Good luck on your trip MO

Hey , now we are getting somewhere. I have not been to Ambergis Caye. We fished out of Belize City. You should be in a much better location. You should have a choice of flats, reef or blue water fishing. There should be Tarpon available on the flats and reefs. I am not sure about Marlin. I know they catch some sailfish there , but not all year. I saw one web site that offered a night trip to the reef for tarpon and shark. That should be fun. Do a search for " Portofina " + Belize + fishing + Ambergris caye. I think you might find something there. Also at WWW. floridasportsman.com , they have a forum section all about tropical locations , you might look there for info. give us a report when you get back. good luck MO

MCHOINC, call Jim Shulin at Bass Pro, he works in the fly shop and lived there and ran a guide service. He works in the afternoon 2:30 - 1000 call and pick his brain.
